"For his latest deep dive into the immersive world of experimental ambient, prolific producer Andrea Porcu has decided to make merry with a piece of classical music. The Heavenly Life is based on 'Ruhevoll (Poco adagio) - Symphonie no. 4' by Gustav Mahler, with Porcu radically reinterpreting the piece via tape loop processing, seriously deep sound design and his own added "imperfections". The gentle pulse of the piece's movements is just about audible, but if you're unfamiliar with it you'd think you were merely listening to swelling, reverb-laden ambient chords and yearning, slow-burn melodies.."
